I am Ania Ierano, and I am a PhD student in the joint laboratory of Charles Fabry (based in Palaiseau, France) in collaboration with the femtosecond laser manufacturer company Amplitude. I attended both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering Physics at Politecnico di Milano.
My PhD project deals with the development of ultrafast sources for High-Order Harmonic Generation (HHG). The focus of this work is the Temporal compression and extended tunability of intense and ultrashort laser sources.
My research interests include pulse post-compression, ultrafast nonlinear optics, and optical metrology applied to the study and tailoring of the driving lasers that are useful for the generation of attosecond pulses.
