Sooraj’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Kerala in India and a master’s degree in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University in India. He has also worked as a project assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India, and as a project intern at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad.
He then joined Professor Giuseppe Sansone’s group in Attosecond and Strong Field Physics at the University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2024 to pursue his Ph.D. studies, and his research focuses on coherent control experiments on atoms and molecules using seeded free-electron lasers (FELs).
