Outreach

The outreach activities of the doctoral candidates of the QU-ATTO network will be based on the Photonics Explorer Kit provided by EYEST (Excite Youth for Engineering, Science, and Technology). Each doctoral student will involve secondary school students in activities based on the kits.

In particular, the doctoral candidates will support secondary school teachers in the classroom by guiding students through the experiments. From the starting point provided by the kit, the doctoral candidates will then present their own work and its relevance to the students.  At the end of the outreach activities, the kits will be distributed free of charge to secondary schools, becoming a permanent educational tool.

In addition to the activities based on the Photonics Explorer Kit, the PhD students will also be actively involved in various outreach activities, including laboratory tours during open days, researchers‘ nights and scientific activities for the general public.
